How to predict pregnancy due date when you didn't have sex when you ovulated?

I found out a few hours ago I am pregnant. I took 3 tests and they all were positive. My period isn't even due until tomorrow, but something told me I am pregnant (I have 2 children) I didnt have sex anywhere around my ovulation. I was in a car accident and too sore to do anything for the past couple of weeks! I had sex 4/5 days before ovulation and that was the last time. So how exactly would the DR predict my due date? Anyone with experience want to tell me when I am due?? :)

First day of my last period: Feb. 22
I have a 31 day cycle
I was ovulated: March 10

Only reason I know all this is because I religiously track it online, lol. Ideas on due date??

You're 4 weeks 2 days - due on 11/28/2012 - based on a 28 day cycle or 3 weeks 6 days based on a 31 day cycle with a due date of 12/01/2012

**Edit: Who are you asking?

Your Dr. is going to use his pregnancy wheel which will date your pregnancy from the first day of your last period - not when you ovulated - expect a due date of 11/28/2012 as the pregnancy wheel's don't take the average length of cycle into account

Dating a pregnancy can cause confusion, because it can be done in either of two different ways. Pregnancy can be dated from the first day of the last menstrual period or it can be dated from the day of ovulation.

In the United States, pregnancy is dated from the first day of the last menstrual period. This is a holdover from a time when much less was understood about conception. No one understood that ovulation was required for conception or when ovulation occurred. However, most women know when their last menstrual period was and it was known that the average pregnancy lasts 280 days (40 weeks) from the first day of the last menstrual period. According to this system, conception doesn’t actually occur until 2 weeks of pregnancy. Obviously, you aren’t pregnant until conception occurs. This is just an artifact of the old system.

In many other places, the new knowledge has been incorporated into a dating system that starts with conception. In that system, pregnancy starts on the day of ovulation (usually the day of conception) and lasts for 266 days (38 weeks).

**2nd edit: Uh Alexis I DID factor both a 28 and 31 day cycle into my answer hence the reason I gave 2 due dates just days apart from each other

your due date is based on the first day of your last period. based on your info your due 12/1/2012.

11/28/2012 is wrong because she didnt factor in your 31 day cycle

I have a boyfriend but I like someone else!?

My boyfriend and I have been going out for a year now. This is my first serious relationship and im 15. But anyway, he has aspergers and he goes to a private school with all boys so hes very awkward. Hes really, really sweet and opens my door, is polite, and has an amazing family. But since he has aspergers, everything is very strange. And his parents love me for accepting him but it has been difficult and hell lol but I always loved him for who he was. Lately, ive been losing feelings for my boyfriend. He ruined my birthday and got me a lame card for vday. And I have been thinking about how hes always pressured me into sex and im tired of it and ive realized we have really nothing in common. He has always been horrible at texting me and he never does anymore. But lately another guy has started to like me and I started to like him and sometime soon hes going to ask me out and yes he knows I like him and I have a boyfriend. The point is, would it be ok if I went out with guy #2 but not as a date? And I would never cheat on anybody. But theres a ball or fancy dance( like cinderella) and I went last yr and I want to break it off with my boyfriend because Iand my family think its the end. The problem is,the ball is in 3 weeks and I cant ditch him because that would be heartless and I want him to be happy at this dance. I already went on a date to see if I wanted to really break it off and I felt guilty when he would kiss me and say I love you. I know this will happen at the dance too and the guilt is unbareable. I dont know what to do. do I call him and tell him the truth? And ask if he would like to go as friends? I dont want him or his family to hate me. And I dont want to ever hurt him. Im young and I dont really want to be tied down in something serious (especially that im not happy in). And I want to date this other guy but im also afraid hes not gonna be worth it and im gonna miss my soon to be ex. What would you do if you were me?

tell ur boyfriend that ur not happy and that he cant make it better, dont get sucked back into the relationship with guilt for him, y would he and his parents hate u? because im sure they dident expect u to get married or anything.

Well if you think you're gonna miss your ex why not stay with him? Why did you start dating him if you guys don't have anything in common? Seems a bit harsh to just dump him like that.

Break up with him tomorrow, and enjoy the new opportunities as a single girl. I don't think 3 weeks is so bad to break up with someone before something big like a ball (the longer you wait, the harder it will be) . Needless to say, he will be crushed. Heck, he might even contemplate suicide. The important thing is that you can finally be in a happy relationship.

Can my sexual partner get herpes after giving me or*l sex after i had already had a genital herpes outbreak?

i just found out that i have genital herpes and i just met this guy that i'm dating and we want to have sex. Right now my blisters and lessions are drying up. I know in order for me not to infect my partner i have to be completely clear of my blisters and lessions in order to have sex again. But if my parner gives me or*l sex could i give him the virus even though i don't have an oubreak?

There can be a small, but contagious, amount of virus present even as the blisters are drying up. If your partner has contact of that type with your vaginal area, he can get a herpes infection where the contact took place-in or around his mouth. Cold sores are herpes virus of the mouth, usually passed by kissing, eating or drinking after someone who has herpes, but they can also be acquired through o*r*a*l contact on genital sores. Also remember, that you can have outbreaks and not know it-either far up inside where you can't see them, or asymptomatically-which means the virus is active, but does not cause the outward show of blisters.
