No one ever believes it but an ex-neighbour was admitted to hospital for a routine appendix operation and woke up to find both legs had been amputated by mistake!
There had been a mix up with notes and a rush at the emergency room that led to both trollies being wheeled to the wrong surgeons at 3 am.

a friend and his wife retired with a new RV and began a motor trip up the thruway to canada. The second night she took over the driving while he napped in the back.

Unknown to her the husband went out the back to relieve himself in the bushes while only in his BVDs
Satisfied with the map the wife started up and went on her way.
Some 40 miles later she could not understand being pulled over by a police cruiser until they produced her husband and asked her if she forgot something.
